Over the past six years, Canada 2020 matured from a start up to be a leading federal policy organization.
From our inaugural policy conference at Mont Tremblant in 2006 to our 2012 speaker series around The Canada We Want in 2020, we have become a thriving part of the national policy conversation.
Our eyes are now fixed on the future. We will continue to host events, convene thinkers and ideas, produce engaging content and – most importantly – influence policy in order to achieve a more progressive Canada.
In the years 2006 – 2011, we have seen tremendous growth, both in the scope and reach of our activities and ideas.
We have built a reputation for tackling the big problems, and offering bold, progressive solutions. Some highlights from our first six years include:
- Hosting Vice President Al Gore in 2006
- Convening a landmark innovation conference
- Bringing world-class speakers – such as Ken Rogoff, Niall Ferguson, Rory Stewart, Dambisa Moyo, Dominic Barton and Martin Wolf , as well as key public figures in Canada to free, public events in Ottawa
- Launching our first book in fall 2011 to kick-start a debate about The Canada We Want in 2020
A picture is worth a thousand words. Therefore, please tour our photo library where we have collected over 2,500 pictures from our various panels, events and conferences.
Together we can build the Canada We Want in 2020.
